The launch of this project marks that the diesel and natural gas dual fuel system will be transferred from the scientific research stage to the practical application, which will add another force to the Institute to enhance the civilian products industry.
In recent years, as an environmentally friendly and economical energy source, LNG has been gradually promoted and applied in the field of public transportation. In order to apply this energy to ship power, 711 independently designed and developed diesel and LNG dual-fuel engines, and transformed the single diesel power of the ship into diesel and natural gas dual-fuel power, which is the basis of existing diesel engines. In addition, a set of LNG gas supply system, control system and security system is added. Through the transfer switch, two modes of operation, namely diesel fuel and diesel and natural gas mixed combustion, can be realized. The modified engine is compared with the original diesel engine. The characteristics, power, etc. are unchanged, and the maintenance cycle can be extended. According to estimates, the fuel cost of an 800kW fishing boat is about 14,000 yuan per day. After the transformation, natural gas can replace 60% of diesel fuel, the cost can be saved by more than 20%, the daily fuel cost is reduced to about 11,000 yuan, and the modification cost can be recovered in about one and a half years. If used on a high-load continuous operation generator set, the payback period will be further shortened.
It is reported that after the transformation of these two ships, natural gas can replace 50%-70% of diesel oil, and the power deviation after transformation is less than 5%. At present, the user hopes to determine the state of the 711 technology by transforming the two model ships to determine the follow-up promotion work.
