As a result, 2 people died. At present, 13 people are undergoing observation and treatment at Anqing Petrochemical Hospital. .
According to a staff member of the Dongzhi County Chemical Industry Park, four of the four workers who were immediately sent to Anqing Petrochemical Hospital on the same night were killed after they were rescued.
After the accident, the major provincial and municipal leaders attached great importance to and made instructions. The main leaders of Chizhou City rushed to the scene of the accident and the hospital in time to guide the handling of the accident and to visit the patients and their families. The leaders of the Dongzhi County Party Committee and the county government also attached great importance to it. They immediately set up an accident handling leading group and requested to treat the poisoned patients at all costs, find out the cause of the accident as soon as possible, handle it in accordance with the law, and require the inspection of safety production in the whole county.
At present, the company has stopped production for rectification, and the accident scene has been effectively controlled, with no impact on the surrounding environment of the factory area. The cause of the accident is under active investigation.
