Anguang made new progress in miniaturized photoacoustic spectroscopy NO2 sensing

[ Instrument R & D of Instrument Network ] Recently, the research team of Gao Xiaoming of Anguang Institute has made new research progress in the miniaturization of NO2 sensing based on 3D printing photoacoustic spectroscopy. The relevant research results are The title of "Total Integrated Photoacoustic Spectral Sensor" was published in the international academic journal Sensors (Sensors 2020, 20, 1270).

Contrast measurement of outdoor nitrogen dioxide concentration between 3D printed photoacoustic spectroscopy sensor and 42i NO-NO2-NOX gas analyzer
The standard deviation of the difference between the two measurement results is 1.0ppb
Photoacoustic spectroscopy is not dependent on the wavelength of light, has low sensitivity to the absorption light path, and is portable. The research heat is increasing year by year, and it is used for detection of trace gas and aerosol absorption. Recently, the team's doctoral student Dong Yang and others conducted a research on miniaturized photoacoustic spectroscopy detection technology based on 3D printing, using 3D printing technology to achieve a highly integrated photoacoustic detection module. Using a 450-nanometer laser as a photoacoustic signal excitation light source, a highly sensitive detection of NO2 on the order of ppb is achieved, and the detection sensitivity reaches 0.8 ppbv with a 1 second response time. The comparison measurement of atmospheric NO2 with commercial NOx analyzers shows that the two have a good consistency. In addition, based on this research work, Dong Yang and others participated in the 14th China Graduate Electronic Design Competition of Zhaoyi Innovation Cup and won the second prize.
This research result has important application value for the further development of compact and portable photoacoustic spectroscopy trace detectors, especially for the development of the detection of atmospheric trace gas and aerosol absorption detection by UAVs with limited loads. .
The research work was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (41475023, 41575030) and other projects.
