Beiqi Foton and Cummins Inc. formally signed the Cummins ISF Series Euro VI technology import agreement. With the introduction of new technologies, Foton Cummins' existing ISF series 2.8-litre and 3.8-litre light-duty diesel engines will become the first domestic engine to reach Euro VI emission standards. Foton Motor also plans to increase capital of 680 million yuan from Futian Cummins Engine Co., Ltd. from this year to 2012 to meet the upgrade of Euro V and Euro VI technology for these two engines.

About 2012, two engines, the 2.8-liter and 3.8-liter Futian Cummins ISF series, will meet Euro VI emission standards. Due to the fact that domestic commercial vehicles in 2012 have not yet met the EU VI emission policy requirements, the European market with the most stringent global environmental protection requirements will implement the Euro VI standards in 2014.
