The experimental workstation is equipped with 35 tons of equipment. From the appearance, it is slightly flatter than the "Jilong", similar to a kind of squid in the deep sea. The robot can be as far as 100 meters away from the platform, and the working depth can be up to 1500 meters, which can complete the grabbing and laying work of some objects.
Wen Zhiping, director of the 702, said that the experimental workstation is mainly used to verify and demonstrate the functions of deep-sea workstations. The next step is to build a 300-ton small-scale deep-sea workstation. The future goal is to develop a 1,500-ton, 3,000-ton deep-sea mobile. workstation. In addition to being able to work longer and wider on the seabed, the future deep-sea mobile workstations can also be equipped with many types of deep-sea robots like the carrier platform, and can use the deep-sea submersible like the “Jilong†as a ferry to realize the surface support system. Shuttle transport between the deep sea mobile workstations, personnel replacement, material replenishment, etc. At the same time, the deep-sea mobile workstation can be equipped with a number of “powerful drymen†represented by detectors and robots. They are like the eyes and ears of the workstation. They can walk out 30~50 kilometers, send back the detection signal and complete the task according to the instructions.
