Hengyang practises pesticide "entering the market" review

Starting this month, Hengyang City will include 100% of pesticide production and operating companies into the monitoring scope, and formally implement the pesticide sales products into the market review system, which is expected to control the flow of counterfeit and inferior pesticide products from the source into Hengyang market.

It is reported that Hengyang is a large market for the production and use of pesticides. The annual use of pesticides is about 10,000 tons. The target of this special rectification is to ensure that the qualified rate of pesticide products in the city this year reaches 88%, and the qualified rate of pesticide labels reaches 80%; 100% of pesticide production and operating enterprises are included in the monitoring range, and the rate of law enforcement investigation and disposal of major counterfeit and inferior pesticide cases reaches 100%. To this end, Hengyang will establish and improve a pesticide regulatory system; implement targeted pesticides for high-toxicity pesticides in key districts (cities) of the city's vegetable priority areas; and implement a review system for pesticide sales products from July; review pesticide operating conditions; Pesticide special rectification work; strengthen guidance on the safe use of pesticides.
