(1) Vehicles often use leaf springs under overload or partial load. The design is based on the rated load of the vehicle. (3) Emergency braking is often used by vehicles. When the vehicle uses emergency braking while driving, due to the action of the inertial force, the leaf spring, especially the front leaf spring, is subjected to excessive bending stress and tensile stress. When the allowable stress is exceeded, the leaf spring breaks. The vehicle should run at medium speed during operation. Exhaust braking of the engine is often used, and emergency braking is rarely used.
(4) When the vehicle turns, the speed is too high. If the car turns too quickly, excessive centrifugal force will be generated, which will greatly increase the load on the outer leaf spring and accelerate the damage of the leaf spring. In order to prolong the service life of leaf springs and improve economic efficiency, deceleration should be paid attention when turning.
(5) The loosening of the bolts or the loosening of the center bolts of the leaf springs will increase the load of the leaf spring main pieces and cause early damage. In normal maintenance, attention should be paid to the fastening of the bolts for riding and the center bolts. Replace them if damaged.
(6) The poor lubrication of the leaf spring and the failure of the shock absorber can cause early damage to the leaf spring. Usually pay more attention to maintenance and lubrication. Shock absorber failure should be repaired and replaced if damaged.
