Imports and Exports of CNC Cutting Machines Doubled for 6 Months

According to customs statistics, in the first quarter of this year, the import and export volume of the CNC cutting machine tool industry was 4.985 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 33.3% year-on-year, and it has doubled for six consecutive months. Of which, imports were US$3.485 billion, up 33.94% year-on-year; exports were US$1.473 billion, up 31.64% year-on-year. According to the China Machine Tool Network (Ollenet), the import and export trade deficit was 2.012 billion U.S. dollars, a deficit of 1.632 billion U.S. dollars over the same period of last year, an increase of 480 million U.S. dollars.

In the first quarter, metal machining CNC machine tools imported 21,500 sets, 2.007 billion US dollars, the amount of which increased by 24.28% year-on-year; exports of 476 million US dollars, an increase of 19.68%. Among them, CNC machine tools imported 4358 units, 806 million US dollars, an increase of 7.23%; export 5129 units, 101 million US dollars, the amount of year-on-year increase of 50.49%; processing center imported 7573 units, 797 million US dollars, the amount of year-on-year growth of 74.41%; exports 188 units, 17.6368 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 14.47%; combined CNC cutting machine tool imports 197, 40.113 million US dollars, a decrease of 56.19% year on year; export 732 units, 2.207 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 13.69%.
