Michelin North America recently announced that Michelin will increase its North American truck replacement tire prices from December 1, 2010 and increase its North American passenger car and light truck tire prices from February 1, 2011.
According to tire business quoted by Michelin , the average increase in truck tire prices for Michelin will reach 8%.
Michelin has not yet given the price hikes for passenger cars and light truck tires. It merely stated that the price increase will vary depending on the product.
Michelin's latest increase in truck tire prices was on May 1, 2010, with a range of 3% to 7%. Michelin's latest increase in the price of passenger car and light truck tires was on June 1st, with the highest increase of 6%. On August 1, Michelin North America also increased farm and construction tire prices by 3% to 3.5%.
