Recently, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. released the December 2016 production and sales data bulletin. The Express Report showed that in December, Dongfeng Motor sold 20,252 vehicles of various types, an increase of 11.24% year-on-year, and 18,764 vehicles of various types, an increase of 25.76% over the same period last year. From January to December of 2016, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. sold 179,844 vehicles of various types, which was a decrease of 4.92% year-on-year. Accumulatively produced 182,596 vehicles of various types, a year-on-year decrease of 1.04%.
In terms of production and sales of commercial vehicles, in December, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. sold 14,004 commercial vehicles (including trucks and passenger cars), a year-on-year decrease of 6.75%; and produced 10,660 commercial vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 10.79%. From January to December 2016, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. accumulated a total of 146,685 commercial vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 5.94%, and cumulatively produced 147,428 commercial vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 3.51%.
In terms of passenger cars, in December, Dongfeng Motor sold 197 buses (824 medium-sized passenger cars and 1,173 light passenger cars), an increase of 38.58% year-on-year; the sales of passenger car chassis was 958, a year-on-year decrease of 59.66%. In January-December 2016, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. sold a total of 7,681 vehicles for passenger cars, a year-on-year decrease of 30.22%; the total number of chassis sold for passenger cars was 26,363, a year-on-year decrease of 12.94%.
In terms of trucks, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. sold 8,172 trucks in December, an increase of 10.69% year-on-year; the sales of truck chassis reached 2,877 units, a year-on-year decrease of 24.65%. From January to December of 2016, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. sold a total of 78,413 complete trucks, an increase of 2.91% year-on-year; the total number of chassis sold was 34,428, a year-on-year decrease of 11.03%.
