The advantages of this process: the entire process constitutes a closed loop, the raffinate (dilute sulfuric acid) can be returned to the leaching operation, the back-extracted organic phase is returned to the extraction operation, and the electrolytic residue can be used for stripping. Therefore, the use of this process to recover copper in the process of producing waste, waste water, waste gas is greatly reduced, is very favorable for environmental protection, and can directly obtain high-purity electric copper products, the overall process productivity is high, the continuity of operation is strong For industrial scale production. However, this process also has the disadvantages of high energy consumption and high cost. In recent years, many foreign manufacturers have applied this process to extract industrialized copper production, and the country is still in the experimental research stage.
