Tooth design of gearbox shaving hob


For the design principle and method of the front hob, a lot of theoretical analysis has been done in various professions. This paper only combines the practice of the front hobbing processing of the gearbox gear of our factory, and discusses some reasonable form of stubble and the design of the hob front hob.
There are 12 gears in the automobile gearbox produced by our factory, 11 of which need to be machined. For this reason, we designed the front hob for processing such gears. The amount of the gear of the gearbox is evenly distributed along the tooth surface. However, for the gear with few teeth, the root cutting phenomenon has been serious. For example, if the angle is used, the root of the gear is too large. The effective involute length is too short, which will seriously affect the quality of the meshing. In response to this situation, we used a non-antennat tooth profile, which consists of a straight line of 15, 20°, 32~33 straight lines, of which 20 straight part is tangentially effective involute meshing part; 32 ~33 straight part is rolling The trimming part of the tooth top of the gear is cut; 15 the straight arc portion of the straight line and the top of the tooth hobbing the root arc and the undercut portion. The cutting trajectories of each part are designed as required.
The gear shaving hob designed by the above method can effectively solve the processing problem that cannot be solved with the tentacles before the shaving. As shown, when the effective involute starting point F is close to the base circle, the tooth shape cut by the shaving hob is as shown by the thick solid line, and the shaving cutter is shaved as shown by the dotted line, the shaving cutter The top basically falls on the maximum point of the undercut arc, and the shaved tooth shape does not appear or only a small amount of undercut phenomenon, which can better meet the use requirements.
