Wärtsilä, a leading provider of innovative products, solutions and services for the marine industry, has once again signed an integration plan with COSCO (Qidong) Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. to supply equipment for another DP3-class dynamic positioning offshore accommodation platform. The owner of the platform is Singapore Axis Offshore.
It is reported that Wärtsilä's supply solutions include main power generation systems, propulsion systems, power and automation systems, and automation systems. The platform is expected to be operational in 2016 and is equipped with a DP3 dynamic positioning system that enables it to operate globally. The order was signed in December 2013 and Wärtsilä will begin delivery of equipment in the first half of 2014. At the beginning of 2013, Wärtsilä received a similar order to provide Qidong with a complete, fully integrated Wärtsilä power, propulsion and positioning system.
