Westinghouse Electric receives a nuclear fuel supply contract for nuclear power plant units

Westinghouse Electric won a contract to replace nuclear fuel for Units 1 to 3 of the Oskar Port Nuclear Power Plant in Sweden. The nuclear power plant is owned by OKGAB, which is produced by Westinghouse's plant in Sweden and delivered annually from 2016 to 2020.
Westinghouse claims to be OKGAB's main nuclear fuel supplier, supplying approximately 8,500 fuel assemblies per year to three boiling water reactors at the Oskars port nuclear power plant. Westinghouse's plant in Sweden was originally designed and built by the Swedish Atomic Energy General Company and was acquired by Westinghouse in 2000.
In May, Westinghouse reported that he was selected by the Swedish utility company Vodafone to become a nuclear fuel module supplier for the Forsmark Unit 3 and the Linhars Units 3 and 4, with a term of 2016 to 2020. In addition to Westinghouse, Areva also signed a nuclear fuel supply agreement with Vodafone for the same period from 2016 to 2020.
