Cummins' new parts and remanufacturing business, focusing on the remanufacturing of Cummins' sold, used, worn parts and engine units, especially long cylinders, short cylinders, L10, M, N and ISX/QSX Heavy-duty engine platform and medium-sized engine platforms such as B, C and ISL/QSL. Moreover, for decades, Cummins has been perfecting the remanufacturing process, the original processing technology, advanced tools and quality systems, enabling remanufactured parts and engines to meet or exceed the standards of new prototypes.
The new Cummins engine platform also takes into account remanufacturing, allowing them to extend their life and achieve greater energy efficiency. Up to 85% of each engine can be remanufactured, and Cummins can achieve up to three remanufacturings per engine.

Compared to the manufacture of new products, remanufacturing requires much less energy and natural resources to extend life. 2. Reduce emissions of 180,000 tons of greenhouse gases (GHG)

Cummins production plant
Since 2010, Cummins has started remanufacturing business at Cummins Processing Co., Ltd. (CXMC) in Puyang, Hubei. After nearly 9 years of development, CXMC has an annual production capacity of 10,000 units/set of engine parts, and its product line is gradually expanding. To include: remanufactured engines, long cylinders, cylinders, cylinder heads, crankshafts, superchargers, injectors, urea pumps and many other remanufactured parts, and obtained ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 1800 certification. Customers include Dongfeng Cummins, Wuxi Holset, Komatsu, Liugong and so on.
In 2018, Cummins' global new parts and remanufacturing business reached $1.5 billion in sales, remanufacturing approximately 18,700 engines, more than 134,000 turbochargers, 141,000 pumps and 637,000 injectors, not to mention Tens of thousands of other remanufactured parts.
