China's rubber demand growth will slow to 7.3% this year

Fan Rende, president of the China Rubber Industry Association, said at an industry seminar on Wednesday that due to the uncertainty in the auto industry, China's rubber demand growth will slow to 7.3% this year, which will put the global rubber prices under pressure under pressure. China's rubber consumption in 2010 will reach 5.9 million tons, up 7.3% year-on-year; the growth rate in 2009 will be 8.9%. Among them, the demand for natural rubber is expected to increase by 5% to 2.65 million tons, while the demand for synthetic rubber, which is mainly used to make automobile tires, will increase by 9% to 3.25 million tons.
