Since the implementation of the “National Crisis Mine Replacement Resources Prospecting Planning Outline (2004-2010)â€, more than 100 crisis mines across the country have “returned to lifeâ€, which has stabilized the employment of more than 580,000 people.
Peng Qiming, Director of the Department of Geological Exploration of the Ministry of Land and Resources, said at the press conference on the 24th that the National Outline for Planning for Prospecting Mineral Resources for Crisis Mines (2004-2010) was reviewed and approved by the 63rd executive meeting of the State Council. Together with the Ministry of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission, it organized and implemented the work of prospecting mines in crisis mines.
According to briefings, over the past six years, China has fully completed investigations on the potential of large and medium-sized mines in the country and added a large number of resource reserves in and around the crisis mines. The theory and methods of ore prospecting have been continuously innovated, and the comprehensive benefits have been remarkable. The investment of 2 billion yuan in special funds has produced remarkable economic and social benefits. Up to now, more than 100 crisis mines have been saved, and the employment of more than 580,000 people has been stabilized.
Peng Qiming said that the prospecting survey for crisis mines shows that the major solid minerals such as iron, copper, gold, and coal in China are mined at a depth of 300 meters, 300-500 meters, and more than 500 meters each, accounting for only one third of the total. Mining depth is below 1000 meters. The depth of exploration is 400-1000 meters and the average is about 500 meters.
According to reports, compared with the developed countries in the world, the mining depth and exploration depth of China's large and medium-sized mines are relatively shallow, and there is still a large space for prospecting in the deep mines. The implementation of the crisis mines to replace resource exploration work has identified a number of resource reserves within a range of 800 to 1000 meters, which proves that the deep prospecting potential is huge. These discoveries have led to the development of ore deposit metallurgy theory and advances in exploration techniques and methods, and have promoted the exploration of China's solid mineral exploration to the deep.

Welding wires are consumable electrodes used in the process of welding. They are made of various materials, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and flux-cored wire. Welding wires are designed to melt and join two or more metal pieces together when an electric current passes through them. They come in different diameters and compositions to suit different welding applications. Welding wires can be used with different types of welding processes, including MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding, TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, and flux-cored arc welding
