The accuracy of the gear has a direct and significant impact on the service life and performance of the gear. Therefore, measuring the gear and controlling its quality has always been the focus of mechanical measurement. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of the requirements for the use of extra-large gears by key equipment and the rapid improvement of the processing level of extra-large gears, the precision of extra-large gears has been greatly improved compared with the previous ones. Therefore, the detection of extra-large gears has been paid more and more attention. .
There are two main methods for measuring gears: one is to place the measured gear on the instrument for measurement. The main instruments are gear measurement center and coordinate measuring machine; the other is “in-position measurementâ€. The in-position measurement is further divided into "on-machine measurement" that measures the gear on machine tool 1 and "top-mounted measurement" that places the instrument on the gear.
At present, the oversized gear measuring instruments mainly include: (1) P350 gear measuring center developed by Klingelnberg, Germany, which can measure the maximum diameter of the workpiece is 3800mm; (2) WGT6000 developed by Wenzel Company of Germany, the maximum diameter of the measurable gear is 6000mm; 3) The large coordinate measuring machine PMM-G produced by Leitz Company of Germany has a measurable space of 7000mm×4000mm×3000mm, and the maximum diameter of the measurable gear is 6000mm (requires sectional measurement). In theory, the measurement problem of gears with a diameter of less than 6000 mm has been solved, but the above-mentioned measuring instruments are not suitable for the production site, and the handling of large gears is inconvenient, and the installation and debugging on the instruments is difficult, which limits the application of such instruments.
