Huanghai Automobile to build pickup truck CKD assembly plant in Nigeria

According to BMG AUTO Internationa, the company and Huanghai Bus under the SG Automotive Group in Liaoning, China, reached an agreement with the Ondo government in Nigeria to establish a CKD assembly plant for pickup trucks with an annual production capacity of approximately 10,000 vehicles. It is reported that the construction of the project plant has started and is expected to be completed in June 2010.

According to its disclosure, the initial cooperation intention with BMGAUTO has indeed been reached, and BMGAUTO has planned to introduce Yellow Sea Automotive related assembly and testing equipment. It is reported that Liaoning Shuguang Automotive Group is a cross-regional modern enterprise group with its main business including complete vehicles, axles and parts and components, and it is a “national vehicle export base enterprise”. At present, it mainly exports automobiles to Africa, South America and other markets in the form of vehicle exports.
