Therefore, it is an imminent task to develop a new use of the large-scale carbon tetrachloride feedstock, transform the carbon tetrachloride that will be in surplus in the future, and ensure compliance with the international conventions for the phase-out of carbon tetrachloride in related fields. The State Environmental Protection Administration took out a portion of the funds as a pilot fund, and the Beijing University of Chemical Technology conducted research on the conversion of carbon tetrachloride to methyl chloride, with initial results.
After contact and screening with multiple methane chloride companies, the State Environmental Protection Administration selected the Melan Group, which passed the laboratory test technology to the Melan Group for industrial scale-up tests, and reached an agreement with Meilan Group in November 2004. Intention to cooperate. Merlin Group stopped production of a plant and built a conversion project in the event that methane chloride had a better buyer's market. Based on the laboratory tests of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Melan's engineers and technicians spent only half a year and independently developed and built the first industrialized conversion device in China in May 2005. run. It has unanimously agreed to pass the acceptance. At the same time, it is hoped that the Meilan Group will further improve and optimize the technology of the conversion device, do a good job in the expansion and application of technological achievements, and play a greater role in national security compliance.
